Grey resonates class at Nyte n Day

I relish any time I am in world shortly after a designer announces a new release to his/her update group. That is because this is when a store’s most loyal customers run to shop. If the release is particularly hot, when you arrive to the store, nearly everyone around you will be wearing the new release. It’s a phenomena unique to this world. You won’t go stumbling into the Gap and find dozens of customers eagerly throwing on their new sweater purchases. Certainly, this world moves faster than the real one; but I have definitely found that not every release makes customers dress alike en masse in the store. It’s something that happens when a designer strikes a certain chord and the look just resonates.
And such was the case yesterday at Nyte n Day. Nyte Caligari released a collection of sophisticated, grey-toned pieces that were inspired by feedback she has received via a customer survey (smart market research, expect to see more). If lindens were no issue, all three of these outfits would have been no-brainer purchases for me. They are sophisticated, but casual. They are work appropriate, but not stuffy. The V necks on all of the tops do a great job of accenting the cleavage, without making you fear a wardrobe malfunction (I know, that reference was sooo 2004). There’s no exposed midriff on any of the tops. The skirt comes to mid thigh and has coordinating stockings. These are three sexy, classy outfits with all of the texturing, highlighting, and details that Nyte always delivers.
As you may know we have been having a discussion about the balance of sexy-but-covered vs. sexy-and-uncovered clothes in Second Life and whether it matters. If you have been searching for more coverage, but don’t want to look “like a grandma” as one commenter said, I believe this whole collection should be in your wardrobe.

Thanks for covering these! I’m always looking for stylish but business appropriate clothing and these outfits are just what I was looking for. I hope Nyte and Day continues this trend, I love ‘em! The detail is excellent, I especially like the wrinkles and shading on the darker gray vest.
