Getting down to business with Pukk Abel

1

101706_suit.jpgIf you read about the the impending gold rush on corporate last names and the sudden curiosity the US government has about the taxibility of MMOs, you know that business in Second Life is about six months away from getting quite serious. Looks like it’s time to bulk up that suit collection.
Heading the call is a new designer, Pukk Abel, who brings a collection of sexy business suits called, Business Femme. The collection consists of six subtly pin-striped blazers and pants along with lacy camisoles for layering underneath. All of the pieces have gorgeous color names like, ivory, ashen, beryl, sapphire, plum, and wine. These are less formal, and perhaps more youthful, than the Femme Revolution suit I told you about last week. There is a sexier edge to these, and, depending on what kind of business image you want to project, these are a different option for you.

You can buy the suits individually, all of the camisoles in a pack, or a large pack of all of the suits with lingerie included. The blazers are tightly-fitted and feature an open lapel. This is where the camisoles come in. If you choose to wear the blazer without a camisole, you better be in a mature sim, as your girls will be on full display. I know that blazers are hard to do, especially because of the odd distortion that can happen when avatars twist and lean. Pukk has added some nice wrinkles and shadows to help make this area look more realistic. The colors are rich and work beautifully together. If you purchase only one suit, I definitely recommend the cami pack, as this provides a lot of options for you. The camis can be worn alone and can definitely get mixed in with other outfits.

What I found most refreshing about Business Femme is that while the look is definitely business-oriented, it isn’t corporate stuffy. It’s feminine and sexy, but it doesn’t scream, I’ve slept my way to the top. I especially love that Pukk was not afraid to give us bold color. There is only so much charcoal gray you can wear while sitting at a glass conference table before you’ve fallen over from your own dullness. Pukk promises that this is just the beginning of her business-focused line. It’s definitely a promising start and I look forward to watching the line progress.

Pukk Abel’s Business Femme is available at First Impressions in Mariner’s Seaside Mall. You can view more pics and read about the collection on Pukk’s forum post.
