Canimal brings us Go Go

A few weeks ago, Canimal Zepher posted a frantic plea on her blog. It seems she was busy going about creating costumes based on strong women, but had sudden;y run out of concrete ideas. She wanted to know who we were interested in seeing costumes of, and boy did she get enough responses to keep her busy until Halloween 2010.
With so many costumes on her To Do List, I was giddy to see that today’s release was GoGo Yubari from Kill Bill, one of my favorite bad ass girls of all time (and sheepishly I admit that it was my suggestion on her blog).
I love the way this costume has Canimal’s signature soft-shaded look. It would be easy to mistake this for yet another Japanese school girl uniform…until you see that she’s holding a mace. I love that contrast, which is why I love this costume. I can’t wait to slip it on with my Asian shape and skin.
(BTW…if you also love the perversity of Japanese school girls wielding weapons and committing murder, be sure to add Battle Royale to your Netflix queue.)
