Update: Benefits for hyasynth Tiramisu

By Celebrity Trollop | October 10, 2006

hya.jpgsparrowbenefitdressad1.jpgUpdate [CT]: Goodness! Look what I found over at hyasynth’s website! This limited edition stunner will only be available October 14th and 15th in hyasynth’s main Ironjaw location. It’s available in four colors, including this delicious blue, a fiery red, a sensual brown and a delicate lilac color.

Also, over on Simone sim, there are two donation boxes where you can make a donation 24/7. I put in my first contribution the other night.

One of my personal favorite designers — and certainly one of the most original and talented designers in SL — hyasynth Tiramisu isn’t well and needs help to pay for her medical treatment.

I saw over at Second Life Insider that a benefit for hyasynth will be held on Saturday, October 14th at 6pm SLT. According to SLI, there will be a lot of goodies from creators like Fallingwater Cellardoor, Baccara Rhodes and Mash Mandala, Chrystin Hathor, Jessica Ornitz, and many more. There will also be a Best Party Photo contest, with the prize being a limited edition outfit by Hyasinth herself. (Woot! That’s some fabulous swag!) This event will be going on in Stardust sim.

I also got an announcement this morning from Simone Stern about a charity auction she’s holding this Saturday, October 7 from 6-8 pm SLT. Simone will be auctioning off designer items and designer’s time for custom work and creations. (A treat — most content creators won’t do customs for anyone at any price.) That event will be held on Simone island.

If you’re a fan of Silentsparrow and its talented designer behind the pixels, or you just want to support a good cause, come out, have some fun, and lend hyasynth’s typist your help!

  1. [...] Finally, I was lucky to attend a benefit for hyasynth Tiramisu. This was an incredible experience for me, as I’m sure it was for everyone who attended. There is nothing that can truly describe the warmth in the room and genuine sentiments of encouragement, but it was far from somber. The music was great and the auctions were competitive. Everyone was beautifully-dressed and were in a genuine spirit of giving. In RL these kinds of charity auctions and balls are out of reach for most every day citizens. Sure, L$1500 isn’t a lot of money in US dollars, but it’s the collective power of these micropayments that matter. The one dollar you give, is one dollar subtracted from those medical bills. And it’s not like giving to the Red Cross or clicking on a donation box on a web page. It feels real, genuine, and (for lack of a better word) human. [...]
