Sumire Mochi: Tweet

As you may be starting to realize, my clothing taste leans heavily toward the dressy-casual. This does not mean, however, that I lack an appreciation for other kinds of clothing, even if it’s not exactly something I would normally wear. Last night, a new release caught my eye. It turns out is was from a relatively new designer, Sumire Mochi of Tweet.
I was attracted to the cartoon-girly design of her items, as well as her bold use of color and contrasting patterns. Her line is filled with fruity polka dots, zig-zags, and stripes. They are playful and feminine, with tons of personality. I esepcially like her crazy tights. I just can’t get enough patterned tights, (as I’ve explained before).
I chatted with Sumire for a few minutes today to get more info about her line and what we should expect from her in the future. She explained that hard drive problems had kept her offline since her first release in July; however, she planned to make a lot more clothes and accessories going forward. Right now she is working on an umbrella, which she gave me a sneak peak at (Pink, plaid and adorable!).
You will soon be able to buy Tweet in the Kawaii Ku section of Nakama. In mean time, you can find Sumire’s clothing at Temenos Island. Temenos is home of Zoe Llewellyn’s Boneflower Designs, which has had some jaw-droppingly fabulous releases this week that the PxP girls have covered excellently. I would love to see Zoe’s Thrift Store Combat Boots paired up with one of Sumire’s funky dresses.
