Persia: a stunning silk by Solange Cerveau
By Celebrity Trollop | August 7, 2006
I first heard about Solange Cerveau from a review by Salome Strangelove at Linden Lifestyles, but what tipped me into outfit lust was seeing the Persia silk (shown left) on a customer at ETD.
Long time readers may recall that I don’t really like silks all that much, but there are certain silks that I’ve seen which just floor me. This is one such design.
First, look at the gorgeous coin detailing on the top and around the hips — it’s just top notch. Look at the silver threading and beading texturing — completely obsessive but beautiful and so perfectly thematic. Second, the physics on the flexiprim skirt is really stunning — this is one of the best looking, best performing, reliably “real” acting prim skirts I’ve worn in Second Life, and the alpha settings are really lightweight and ethereal.
Shopping at Solange’s Fashion in Wall isn’t cheap, but quality this remarkably high is well worth the cost in my opinion. If Solange can create a silk that a non-silk lover raves about, well, her design magic is very powerful indeed.
