Iki casual wear

By Celebrity Trollop | August 7, 2006

Iki_forumadI think it’s interesting as a Second Life cultural phenominon that so much design effort is invested in the fantastic, the outlandish, the overtly sexual and the way-over-the-top dramatic — it is done simply because it can be done. In a world where every avatar can look stunning and has the body to pull off something in the preceding list, it isn’t surprising. So when I see really high quality shading and texture work for a whole line of “unpretentous” casuals I’m really impressed. Obviously a lot of effort has gone into the design and construction of these items — the long sweaters (more fall fashions, in 4 fatpacks), scarves and the skinny jeans (scarf and jean fatpacks coming soon, the forum post reads). One thing that sprang to mind immediately for me about these designs is re-sizing the scarf (which is shown tied at the neck) to attach at the waist. The Iki designs can be found in the building between TorridWear and PixelDolls in Chartreuse — where The New Zero designs can also be found.
