The grid is offline. So instead of finishing Issue #4′s interview, thought I’d post a couple of great things from the forums. Here’s Trinitee Trilam’s absolute latest release named Practical. And it sure is — most of my “businesswear” in Second Life is an actual business-y type suit for a woman. This is something that’s still not too hoochie for the office, but still casual enough that you don’t need to seem like some kind of far-too-up-tight pedantic clipboard wielding office bish. Also Trinitee and Tray Calamari (of Rummage) just opened a new store. You can find this release and all of her others at R&R in Gramela.
In retail-therapy terms, there aren’t many better ways to start a weekend than browsing the new releases at Dazzle in Innamoramento. Oh sure, it’ll take a toll on your Linden balance, but in the end — isn’t looking so fabulous worth it? Today’s Dazzle delectable is a LBD named “Holly” which might have you all dressed up without a place to go. There just aren’t enough formals in Second Life, but I wouldn’t let that stop me from wanting to wander the grid in this slinky minxy sheer frock.
I’ve been looking forward to seeing these posted in Canimal’s store since she teased us all with as preview earlier in the week. Now available, Innocence comes in three different makeup sets: pinks (angelic), red (devilish) and brown (grace), available, as usual in single makeup selections or in a bundled pack for a discount. These are modifyable — you can use the sliders to make them darker or lighter in skin tone — always nice to have options! By the way? Did you all know that Canimal has four positive customer service stories on the PXP forums?? Add some more to the thread! Meanwhile, head over to Canimal’s in Celestial City to try out these new skins!
I’ve been a fan of Ingrid Ingersoll’s “etc” shop for long time. We put her Salvatore Sandals in a roundup of sandals in Second Style #1, and I’ve long admired Ingrid’s skill at making ultra detailed, very cute handbags. So when I saw her new Lalique design in the forums yesterday, I was really excited about posting it up here. Just look at all the primmy goodness she’s packed into this design — there are even prim snaps on the top of it! Check it out at Tableau Island.
Long time readers know that generally I crop forum ads with multiple items so that there’s just one when I post about it here. But I just couldn’t make myself do it to these absolutely gorgeous lingerie sets at Mischief. Classy, but sassy, mild and wild, the whole collection delights me — the marvelous lace detailing, the color choices and coordination to the clever use of flexiprims. Your SL partner is really going to flip if he sees you wearing something from this collection. I sense an uncontrollable shopping spree about to commence over on Illusion Isle. See you there!
Typepad added the ability to put Technorati tags at the end of posts, so I will try to tag my posts consistently. That means, for example, if you want to find a list of all the — oh say — Dazzle designs I’ve blogged about, you could put “Ginny Talamasca” into the Technorati search engine and out would pop a list of appropriate tagged posts.
Just trying to make it easier for readers to find the information they want to see! (Plus, it’s something of a quaint hobby to see what search terms makes people click through to my lil’ patch of the Intarweb.)
Update: Starley released this makeup line for her red head skin series too.
Starley Thereian released a new Charmed skin pack yesterday named Greatest Hits. Starley writes on her blog:
This set includes four of my earliest makeups: Twinkle, Frosting, Drama and Rubies. I think most of these were made just as makeup way back in 2004. I always carried these on all my skin lines until the Charmed skins … because I was tired of doing the same things over and over again and really just wanted to make something new [with the Charmed line.]Lately, however, I’ve been seeing some of these makeups walking around SL on skins they shouldn’t be on (no comment on the skins themselves). I finally decided I [couldn't] keep throwing up in my mouth whenever I saw one of these wandering rogue makeups … these were always amongst the most popular makeups, so I decided to spiffy them up and do them on the Charmed line. I hope people can appreciate the originals as much as the ripoffs.
(I modified Starley’s text a little for clarity. I hope she doesn’t mind!) In the forum post, Starley resolved a question long on my mind: jeepers, creepers, where’d she get those peepers? (All apologies to Siouxse. I couldn’t resist.) From Mistress Midnight.
I picked up the demos last night in Tone 30 and 40 (which are a lil’ bit lower than my usual Tone 70 — feeling the need to branch out I guess) and the blending of the eye makeup is really artfully subtle. Get your demos at at Celestial Studios in Celestial City.

Six Kennedy announced that Princess Pieterson is the winner of the Gurl 6 logo contest. As the winner, Princess gets L$10,000 and every new Gurl 6 hair. (Wow! Soon her inventory will probably be Willow Zander sized!
) Congratulations to Princess and to all the other contest designers: Six sent them each L$100 and a voucher for a free Everything hair pack from the new releases.
Nonna Hedges was kind enough to send me a copy of her Divine Sarah Bernhardt Black Mesh gown, which I was sooo happy to wear on the grid last night. (Check the snapzilla shot here!) All kidding aside, this is a really stunning, attention grabbing gown — at least that was the result from last night’s tour of the grid. It definitely isn’t subtle, but if you love to have all eyes on your avatar, this is a fantastic choice. Nonna also released a sassy salsa length skirt for the same bodice this afternoon. No matter which length you choose, you will look incredible. Shop Details by Nonna in Picasso.

Oh these make my calves ache just looking at them — I’m so glad my avatar has to wear these! (Hehe.) Even so, here’s two sky high wedge sandals that have the “drenched in sexy” hallmarks of Minx. Charisma is top left, and Karma is bottom left. Shown in white and ochre respectively, they’re available in several colors and patterns. Shop Minx in Shepherd and check these out — it’ll be one of my first stops when I can get in world.
During the swimwear photo shoot for Second Style #3, the Amor bikini by Ravenlynn Templar was easily one of the models’ favorites for the entire layout. It’s one of my personal favorites too. Early this morning, Ravenlynn released Sunny Days, a set of two tops (one bra, one cami), a thong and denim skirt. The bra and thong could be a bikini, or it could be a racy piece of outerwear with the skirt. No matter how you wear it, you’ll look great in this LVS outfit. Shop for it at Liquid Velvet Studios in Yulmu.
