New Designer: Astrid Ophelia

Astrid Ophelia finally spreads her wings with multiple posts on the forums showcasing her releases. I’ve selected two of Astrid’s designs to highlight here, “Summer Fling” and “Just Peachy.” Astrid has been tweaking these designs for a while now and I’m glad to see her finally make an announcement to a wider audience of fashionistas.
One thing in particular that I really enjoy about Astrid’s designs is the really great painted on belt details she’s used in each outfit. Summer Fling is a perfect example, but check out the details on Camo Gurl — they’re really superb and soo super thematic with the military grade web belt on the pants.
Just Peachy is also packed with a lot of thoughtful (one might even say nitpicky paranoid) details — the lace on the top of the dress for example. It seam matches perfectly and of course I love the bright summer color. Just Peachy also has a second top which is a bit more cleavage-y and less frilly if you’re looking for a simple but chic cute summer dress.
