Griefing by classified ad?

sachi Vixen wrote to let me know about a very strange, very annoying experience she had this morning. She wrote on her blog about it.

I had an odd experience this morning on my sim. Damen checks the map in the mornings and he noticed there were more classifieds at the store than there should be. When we checked them out we found gangster classifieds telling people my store was for gansters only and not to go there. The pics was my store ad pic and the teleport to my store.

I reported it to Lindens and they removed the ad but called it ‘griefing by classified’. I haven’t heard of this before so I thought I’d mention it here in hope that it makes others aware that they should check out the classifieds that are on their land. You can see these on your map and follow them via find.

I suppose these kinds of attacks on content creators are the next new low that we’ll see. Anyway, I know many designers read my blog, so I wanted people to know about this potentially hitting them.

Incidentally, the L$1 Aquitaine skin I used in my July 4th photo is going off the market soon. It’s definitely a skin worth having, and it uses the shading from the “Celebrity” line of skins, so there’s a lot of really lovely definition on the back, especially. It’s *nice* to have well defined shoulder blades to show off, for example.
