What a marvelous stunner Rebel’s served up in VIP. I had a serious dilemma about whether to post the red or black edition of the gown, but who can argue against the classic black gown? Full of sparkly sequins and some really beautiful tone-on-tone texturing, this gown comes complete with a clutch purse and a wonderful glitter adornment at the bottom of that dramatic plunging neckline on the halter bodice. Find it at Rebel Hope Designs on Isla Del Amor.
Boneflower Designs had a fantastic review by Willow Zander at PXP, so this outfit was high on my list of things to make note of over here. Zoe Llewelyn released this super tasty sweater/skirt set (yay fall fashions!
) I am so loving this skirt design — sailor-ish buttons at the waist and flirty buttons all the way down the placket to the mini-skirt hemline. It comes in several different colors too. Very very nice. Buy it at Boneflower Designs on Temenos Island.
OK, technically, Faith is a prim belt for men — at least, that’s who Dragontat Zagato has in mind for this product — but I don’t see any reason why fashionistas should not run out and buy this. Resize it down for your svelte femme curves and you’ve got one killah accessory for your 42,000 pairs of SL jeans. This design not really your cup of tea? There’s two more (so far.) Check out Cross, and Honey (yeah, get that third wave feminist irony here). Shop for them at Desert Moon Clothiers in Linda.
I just don’t know how she does it! How does Ginny Talamasca make her fabric textures so incredibly realistic looking? I realize she has a lot of specialized software voodoo — but seriously — gorgeous texturing here. So realistic — I feel like I should be able to slip this on my avatar, touch my screen and feel silky satin under my fingers. It sports a scoop out bodice and a big gold ring in the back — I love how Ginny’s hardware details coordinate with the belt this design comes packaged with. Pairing this up with the boots from Digital Dragon is a perfect match too. Shop for Dana at Dazzle in Innamoramento.

Lexi Morgan of Stellar Designs has been creating several new things lately — all the way from casual hoodies (today’s new goodie) to curve hugging super slick vinyl outfits (from Friday — I know — I have to let my inner trollop out to play sometimes.
) I really have been enjoying wearing the “prim hoodie” outfits around on the grid. The prim hood just gives the whole thing a lot of extra 3d depth you can’t get with a well drawn, well shaded drawn on textured hood. Lexi also writes on her blog about a new Lucky Chair at Stellar Designs — the prize is a Not Available in Stores unisex gift. Find Stellar Designs at its new home in Furu.
Did you see the announcement that June Dion’s Bare Rose has its very own sim? It does. Brand new — June writes:

Since Launa Fauna’s come back from her “design pause” while she’s been at school, she’s been working on updating some of her older hair styles. Meatball is her new take on an oldie-but-goodie style. She added some parted bangs — maybe keeping with her new hot librarian vibe that she spoke about in The Goods #3. Find the demos at Launa’s store in Freelon.
I had a sneak peak at these fur boots, prim coats, vests, and hats by Digital Dragon Designs. They’re fun and sexy all at the same time — you can pair the set up or you can mix-n-match with all of the other stuff in your inventory — and of course the boots will be a fun wild touch for anything that needs a bit of a boost toward the animal side of your personality. Since all the sets come in 8 different animal prints and a “plain faux fur” edition, you’re sure to find something that matches your tastes. Check it out at Digital Dragon Design in Keundott.
This cute dress caught my eye today — and I love the pink bow on the bodice which has some really lovely satin texturing to it. Accenting a beautifully drawn grey satin bodice, the skirt also shares the same texturing and lets you shake your groove thing in perfect style with plenty of flexified prim goodness. Shop for it at Jolie Femme in Dimidiata.
Iris Ophelia posted a nice follow up at PXP to a question I posed to her on Saturday: What happened to Forbidden? Remember them? I sent Dnel DaSilva (our RFL auction model) to buy some of their sweet flats for a photo shoot. She’s the one who said, “I can’t find Forbidden!” So I definitely had it in mind to find out what happened. Adri Spengler, one of the co-owners/co-creators wrote in the comments at PXP:
FORBIDDEN has been bought out and will be ran under diffrent managament. Zahara [ed. Adri's co-creator/co-owner] has completley decided to leave SL, I however will be staying and see where it takes me. I hope to return to designing one day and hopefully will. We both apreicate your kind comments, it makes us feel very happy. If I return to design one day I will make it a public announcement, definitely under a new store name, possibly under a new character.
I’m glad the inventory will carry on, because honestly I LOVE the shoes there! But, still, sad that SL drama claimed a promising designer duo.
This was today’s “Wow” moment for me, browsing through the forums tonight — I love elka’s distinctive and fun chic boho style. These new tiered crocheted skirts are just so gorgeous and packed with lots of awesome details. They come in four different flavors of construction type. The white one (shown) is also way tintable (although I think it looks sooo sweet in this off white.) Aside from a black version of the same skirt, elka also pushed out a set of new flats: patent mary jane ballet shoes. They are just soo adorable — and elka makes some of the best flats to be found in world. Because elka is away from her computer this weekend, the newness is only available at Boing Fromage in Shaka inside MaHoRoBa. (elka said she’d update her other locations when she gets home.)
As Canimal Zephyr noted at PXP, Tami McCoy has been making a lot of wonderful short hair designs lately. This is another brand new release, named Fast Times, which (I’m guessing!) reminds me of the hair from the film Fast Times at Ridgemont High. That movie always makes me think about Sean Penn as the “Big Lebowski” of the 80s, Jeff Spicoli, and Phoebe Cates’ swimming pool scene in Judge Reinhold’s teenage dream sequence fantasy. (Hehe) Anyway, I’m not sure if this hair is an homage to Phoebe Cates, but feathered hair runs amok in the whole 80s cinema-for-teens scene. Shop for Tami’s new hair at Hair by Tami in Milu.
