Mmm. Shiny jewel tones, soft lace and pastels and a set of truly unique iridescent fabrics compose the building blocks of Ginny Talamasca’s latest fashion crack™. Of the new releases, Estivale is definitely my personal favorite, although Maidi comes a very close second.
Estivale (shown third left) is built using a fiddly fabric rendering process which I paraphrased as a “shaken, not stirred cocktail” of Lightwave, Maya and Photoshop. The result is nothing short of remarkable: a fluttery babydoll dress with beautiful iridescence, highlighting the burnt out velour floral pattern overlaid on the skirt. Among the six shades Estivale comes in, I’m partial to the “glam” combination myself — but thankfully a Nala pack is available — so you can save any indecision in front of the vendor box.
Maidi (shown far left) is a wonderfully simple summery sun dress with a lot of beautiful shading evident on the fabric folds, accented with a generous helping of lace on the bodice and on the mid-calf skirt hem. I had a lot of fun subverting the sunny intentions of this dress with my shiny new Death skin. (Can you tell I loooove it? Heh.)
