The Pixels in Pink Relay for Life team

LifeadIf you’ve visited Couture Isle, Panache, The Random, Celestial City or TorridWear recently, you’ve probably seen a kiosk or two accepting donations for the Pixels in Pink Relay for Life team — all donations to benefit the American Cancer Society. Since the team consists of some of the top fashion designers in Second Life, part of the fund raising will come from the sales of exclusive limited editions like the Life hair Elika Tiramisu’s created. But you don’t have to wait for the limited editions to come out to make a donation! Today Elika posted on her blog:

Everyday since the day I’ve set out my kiosk, I’ve recieved an IM or a notecard saying they appreciate what me and my team and the other teams are doing. The stories of their loved ones who battled or is battling cancer motivates me to contribute more.

So I challenge my customers….make me broke! I will match whatever the total donations are in my kiosks. No joke! By the end of the fundraising period….whatever the total is…I will match.

So meet me half way and make my ass go broke. So far I have over L$50,000 total from both of my kiosks. Break them…and break my Linden Balance.

Yesterday, I started planning how Second Style will contribute to Relay For Life. Further details coming soon, but it will definitely involve a black tie formal event. Meanwhile, head over to Couture Isle and make a donation today.
