New Designer: Rosemary Galbraith

By Celebrity Trollop | June 5, 2006

BohoboxSpringpromenadeboxSeems like Rosemary Galbraith has been making clothes in Second Life since nearly her very first day in world. She finally decided to make her very first forum post announcing the release of her flexiskirt dress, Spring Promenade in a fetching pastel pale peach (shown bottom left). I like the flexidress a good bit, but my three favorite items she’s created are the wonderful white boho dress (shown top left), a daring semi-sheer cocktail dress in brown and the line of blazer jackets (one in red, and another in charcoal) with cool cabochon style buttons (these last two unfortunately are not pictured in her forum post). I’ve had the white boho dress in my inventory for a while now and, actually, I’ve worn it in world quite a bit — in fact I wore it the night of Hamlet Au’s soiree.

My other two items are favorites simply because of the so many ways to use them in different looks. The semi-sheer brown cocktail dress can be transformed into glitzy glam simply by taking a pair of metallic sheen glitch pants and wearing them under the skirt. What shows through is a beautifully muted hint of color and shine. The blazer jackets are well cut — longer too — these aren’t shrugs (Rosemary makes some shorter shrug styles, if that’s what you’re after — and they are way cute) and very stylish — I haven’t seen anything else like them on the grid. You can visit Rosemary’s store OH! What A Neat Boutique in Maemilkkot.
