Shiny Things, Recycled

In a former life as a Unix system administrator (yeah, I really am a big nerd IRL), these new wonderfully strange jewelry adornments bring back vivid flashbacks of 3 am pager panic and stringing way too much fiber optic cable around a data center cable trough. (There’s a sentence I never thought I’d write in a fashion blog. But I digress.) I love Recycled on its own merits - it comes in a white and black version, and there’s a lot of fun detail if you enjoy “extreme zoom” party games in the wires that spill out from the metal sheathing of this set, but its a very clever visual pun on the nature of avatars and avatar fashion in Second Life.
