In remembrance

Today is Memorial Day in the United States, and although it’s mostly remembered as a three day weekend by many Americans, it’s really about remembering and honoring the memories of those loved ones who’ve passed. I want to take the opportunity to thank those who have served or are serving in the United States armed services: thank you.

I so appreciate this post!! So many times people look to Memorial Day as a day off and a long needed 3 day weekend since President’s Day. But this day is all about remembrance. Remembering those who have given their lives to secure our freedoms. Although I recently left the military, my experiences in Afghanistan are clear in my memory and a lot of times…those appreciative thoughts and prayers of the people back home was all that kept one going. So many have given their lives to protect me and my family and for that they will always be remembered. Thanks Celebrity for this post.
