Flexiprim round up
By Celebrity Trollop | May 25, 2006
The 1.10 release has two amazing features (and a lot of lovely little UI tweaks): usable local lighting and 3 flexible prim shapes (no flexi torii, alas. Prim hair creators everywhere are very sad — but also very innovative — some flexihair is released already and some is still being developed — I spy my little eye on Lash Xevious’ flexihair experiments on snapzilla; a beta hair now available for L$50!) Just like at Hair Fair when there was an explosion of much new goodness, I’ve chosen a few of my favorites to highlight, and then link the all of the forum posts.

- Early bird Blaze Columbia kicked things off while SL was still being updated with this short, sassy halter dress in 8 colors (shown top left). Pretty dress, but I wish it had a regular prim skirt too.
- Simone Stern created a windblown silk design, and later posted a windblown prim gown.
- Launa Fauna released this gem of a flexiprim hip scarf which looks fantastic and is totally tintable. A steal at L$80. A definite must have for every fashionista post 1.10 (shown fourth top left)
- sachi Vixen of adam-n-eve quickly released this pink dancing silk for just L$1, and then followed that up with a bit more elaborate silks she calls frostings. The golden frosting silk is shown second top left.
- Nephilaine Protagonist released Portia, a beautiful natural linen design with an elegant flexiprim drape (shown third from top left)
- Ravenlynn Templar of LVS designed her gorgeous Bella babydoll nightgown set to use flexiprims for skirting.
- Ciera Bergman released Flex, another flexiprim gown in several colors, shown at the bottom left. More on her blog.
- Candi Minogue released a gown design with flexiprim skirting and flexiprim sleeves too. Quite an interesting combination for the eye as your avatar walks (or slinks, as the case may be.)
- Wiccan Sojourner created a multi-piece flexiprim gown with a bendable scarf and skirting
- Ginny Talamasca released her take on flexible attachments by creating the sweet and sexy Obsedee (shown second from bottom left) — an homage to Dolce and Gabbana (the design house that put edgy S&Mish back into Haute Couture) which has a neck scarf of chains and chiffon and a shiny leather bodice top and shredded chiffon skirt hem. Ginny later created a pair of flexi chandelier earrings — a work in progress but for L$1, why not??
- Lexi Morgan reworked her popular Erotica leather prim skirt outfit, and released a new and very cute “Weekend Threads” outfit.
- Astry Mirabeau created three new flexi-prim skirt outfits. one last night. The other two today.
- Tuli Asturias released “Chainmail” an outfit with some flexi-chain strips and a really cute neck scarf. It’s pink and steel — sounds odd — but it’s still somehow cute!

Easy-to-read roundup, thanx for compiling these. Exciting to see what’s being made already!
Posted by: Torley Linden on May 25th, 2006 at 11:50 pmSome of the best flexiprim stuff out there that I’ve seen is at Simone’s….Ella, Josephine, Mame and the hair by Sherona! IMHO
Posted by: LadyMacbrat Loveless on May 27th, 2006 at 3:18 pmDefinitely, LadyMacbrat. I saw the Josephine dress in the readerstyle feed (modelled by the one and only Brace Coral.)
Excellent.
