In the email Ginny Talamasca sent me about Tueuse, she wrote:
So today, I guess, there was something for the good girls…so I had to do something for the BAD girls (like you, CEL!) … It’s got lots of little nitpicky details like the studded and chained belt and the clasps on the leather across the bust. And we know ur a detail-whore
Better a detail whore than a size queen, Ginny! :D And yes, I do love the outfit, almost as much as I love the ad copy, “He knows to watch out if I’m in leather and chains. . .” Too awesome! Ginny already touched on the detail stuff I love in a design — and of course Ginny’s wearing “poof poof.” Always nice to see a sister cultist — I’ll have to teach her the secret hip bump.
The other amazing outfit from Dazzle is the wonderously sweet Melancolie. I knew once I saw the blood red moon sliding into the void sea this would be a striking ad. Ginny’s quoted lyrics from “Song to the Siren” by This Mortal Coil — and the song is hauntingly lyrical, sweet in harmony but tinged with a little darkness. I personally thought of Andrea Bocelli’s achingly beautiful rendition of “Con te Partiro” (featured on The Sopranos season 3 several times as incidental music.) The stays on the back of this design tickled me and the skirt is so ethereal, so finespun, overlaid with the same brocade in the ivory bodice — it is so very posh. They’re both available on the new items board at Dazzle in Innamoramento.
