You missed out on something if you didn’t catch the Nymphetamine fashion show at the RH Designs Fashion Showcase on Isla del Amor sim on Saturday. With designer paeoti Pomeray in the audience, show coordinator Brit Wishbringer and the RH Design Models (including last minute model Rebel Hope herself) put on a very professional and well paced showcase. I’m sorry to admit my poor lil G4 Power Book was terribly laggy, but Pixel Pinup columnist Zealot Benmergui passed me some of his snapshots for this post — thanks Zealot!
Let’s jump right into the outfits I’ve featured here to the left. The top most is called “Living Dead Girl,” a super goth extravaganza in blue plaid with a prim skirt, a corset style top and matching stockings. The outfit also comes in several other colors, and it’s more along the perky goth style than my “souls bleeds ennui” goth. I love the boots this model is wearing — someone has to tell me where to find a pair. This design caught my eye because I think it has a lot of versatility — the prim skirt or the top both mix and match well.
Next up is a design named “Prowless 2,” a tasty crushed red velvet party dress with a short prim skirt. This design is a classic take on the party dress with some amazing texture work on the fabric itself. It works for a date, it works for a dance party where bling is optional and it works as an outfit where you just want to create a classy impression without letting go of any flirt — the high hemline assures that.
Now we come to what was — for me — the highlight of paeoti’s show. This dress is called Mae West, in honor of the screen diva’s immense legend. Having worn this dress myself, I can personally vouch for the incredible level of detail not only within the fabric textures itself — a stunning combination of silver, charcoal and black — but on the detail work like the prim sleeve attachments, and the hand drawn clasps in the front and back of the bodice. I love the look of this dress without its prim skirts myself, but obviously it looks incredible either way with that so classic, so timeless mermaid silouhette. Priced at L$500, this gown is an absolute steal. You will not find detail and prim work like this at other stores for less than L$800-L$1000. I really wanted to show off the detail work for this dress, so I asked paeoti to send me the ad texture, which is why it’s directly underneath the fashion show snapshot.
Unfortunately at this point, my little PowerBook took an extended dirt nap. By the time I could get back I had missed the show’s ultimate focal point, which was the wedding gown featured bottom left. This gown shows off a technique which reoccurs throughout all of the Nymphetamine gown designs and that is the marvelous iradescence which paoeti can impress in her texturing. You can see the sheen of light off the bridal satin, the hint of the blue underneath the ivory in the skirting near the gown fabric folds. Note also the incredibly precise and beautiful beading detail at the neckline which just captures the eye immediately.
Nymphetamine is located in Falcata, and there is a lot more than just prim gowns to be found there, although that’s what I’ve focused on from the fashion show — especially notable are the lingerie outfits which stay true to paeoti’s design sensability: classic, timeless femininity.

“Living Dead Girl” is definitely interesting, very “decadent” design. What was the price?
