Everyone knows that Elika Tiramisu makes amazing prim hairstyles, but did you also know she makes shoes? And purses? And other little fashion goodies? I don’t remember seeing these shoes posted on the forums, but they’re posted over at her new website — I visited hoping to see some ads for Elika’s newest hair creations (she has one coming out with another hair flower! Woooo!!) and instead I find this little treat, hidden away like a forgotten Easter egg.
ETD shoes have been a staple in my wardrobe virtually since I was a newbie’s newbie. Her color changing strappy heels have made so many outfits for me — including saving our bacon during a photo shoot for Second Style issue #1 last month. Here’s another pair of color changing shoes — lace up heels, this time — which will look adorable in almost any situation. I can’t wait to get a pair. Check them out at the new Couture Isle.
Update: Ravenlynn released a 2 pc set (without the prim babydoll) of the same design in two beautiful new colors: a delicious butter yellow (I think I like this better than the original coral!) and a pastel blue.
Check out the rich incredible color Ravenlynn Templar put into this new spring dress she released last night. As the ad mentions, “Spring Fever” is one dress with three looks including a “maternity friendly” sheer babydoll prim. I love the embroidery touches on the mesh skirt and at the bust. Liquid Velvet Studios’ mainstore is in Yulmu.
Six Kennedy moved her store to Euphoria Island — an announcement she made in this post, but the latest news is she did it today and not on May 1st as the ad to the left indicates. But the even better news is that from now until May 2nd, Six has a several of her hair styles priced at just L$99! These are all located at the front of the new tropical flava Gurl 6. Check out the new Gurl 6 on Euphoria Island.
Elikapeka Tiramisu wrote a long entry about the Couture Isle rebuild on a new Couture Isle joint blog:
This really is my most prized build. Although I did love the original build of Couture, I think we just grew up from that Asianishy type of look. The texturing on the old build was pretty bland and default, and the build was just so hard to go from one store or the other…it felt more like a mall than something collaborative for Nyte and Me….so hence the new look is born…
Anyway, we shut our doors on a Thursday night…around 10 pm game time….then we started work immediately…I think I went to bed that first night around 3 or 4 am and it was around 6:30 or 7 am for Nyte….lol talk about dedicated. And that’s how it was until Sunday morning….non stop working on the sim…all day and all night. We barely made room for food let alone socializing.
Don’t miss having a look around the new Couture Isle.
hyasynth Tiramisu released this incredibly detailed hand drawn, hand textured dress in a beautiful shimmering silk. It’s available in six colors: thyme, orchid, bluebird (shown), cardinal, buttercup, and seafoam. Silentsparrow is located in Ironjaw — a really wonderful build.
Lo Jacob’s revised her favorite “old” Luxe top and released it along with a really great denim prim skirt which also doubles as a pair of denim shorts. She also released two tees with Lo’s own original artwork as the prints. Cute cute cute! Luxe is on Limantour.
Koge Cleaver has four new cute and fun accessories out including this earring set called “Blossom!” What a perfect little spring accent for any wardrobe! Also released was a pearlescent bow bracelet, dangling pearl earrings (in several colors) and a really beautiful looking choker with rose detail. Koge’s shop is on Ravenglass.
Update 2: Jolie’s released this dress in three new colors: orchid, leaves (green), and azure! These are only available at her main store at the moment.
Update: Just wanted to bump this design back to the top, because it’s been out for sale since Friday. Jolie still couldn’t choose from all the skirt options so she chose to include them all! Haha. Nice choice! You can get a copy of this fantastic dress at Jolie’s Boutique in Hennepin.
I don’t know if this outfit is for sale yet, but I don’t really care — it’s gorgeous, and the color combination is tremendously matched. Jolie Lumiere is currently soliciting feedback about the design of the skirt in this poll she posted along with this photo. I like the prim skirt as shown, but I would prefer either a longer prim skirt or a knee length non-prim texture skirt. Unfortunately, my preference seems to be in the minority at the moment. C’est la vie! When it’s ready for sale, head over to Jolie’s Boutique in Hennepin.
I wanted to spotlight the shoes that Jolie’s wearing in the photo. Those look like the new mules from Lassitude I covered here last week. Since I bought my first pair in black, I’ve been back to buy the white with black piping (and a pompom!). No doubt I’ll be back again as I need more colors. They are meticulously designed mules that go with just about anything that looks good in heels, from jeans to cocktail dresses.
Tuli Asturias of Forgotten Kitten has been working on several skirt outfits lately. She released all of them today: one mesh skirt outfit in denim called Apple Cuteness (it is!), one sassy, flirty prim skirt outfit called Zzzipped, and the dress I’ve pictured here: Swirl, a sweet little vintage retro A-line look done in brown with multi-colored swirls, accented with a cute belt. All you need now is a beehive hairstyle, white pleather go-go boots and a lava lamp! Groovy! Check out Forgotten Kitten at Pollyesther’s.
I both dread and love new posts by Fallingwater Cellardoor. I love them because she’s marvelously talented and I can’t wait to see what new goodies she’s created, but I dread them because I know that pretty soon my viewer will be making a lot of those “ka-ching” sounds when I stop by her store in Hotei. And so I find myself enthusiastically nodding at her new Japanese flavored “Asia Sandals” collection, but I just know when I log in next — my bank account is taking a hit. Haha. How cute are these? They come in a variety of colors and have a really wonderful color texture on the straps. Plus, they’ll go from beach to dressy casual in a flash — so versatile. Fallingwater notes: The size 0 look silly and tiny on me, so I had to make larger ones too. It’s worth changing foot size for! Good to know!

Eternalynn Calliope released a revised “Ruthless” suit look for men and women, along with several shirts and colored ties, and four new colors for her Hunters: Defined series. As packaged, the Ruthless Redefined outfit comes with a dress shirt without a tie, but you can easily select a shirt with a tie from a rainbow’s variety of different colors to wear underneath the suit jacket if you like. At only L$10 per shirt, and L$30 for the suit itself, these outfits look great on men or women and they are definitely easy on the pocketbook.
Check out these cute and cool new tortoiseshell peek-a-boo sandals. Lynnix Muse (creator of the Hollywood prim eyelashes I wear constantly) released deluxe and regular versions of these shoes, although they seem to cost the same and look the same in the ads, so I’m not sure how they’re different. In any case, I confess to having a secret weakness for tortoiseshell and if you’re a big dork like me, you might want to coordinate your eyeglasses with your shoes. But aside from that, I just think these shoes look super cool. I don’t have enough peek-a-boo toed shoes in my inventory (let’s face it: one can really never have too many shoes in her inventory, can she?) so these will be a good start! Visit Lynnix’s store in Gerstle.
