Thanks for taking a look at my blog. Ever since I started playing around with Second Life, I’ve been amazed, amused and — at times anyway — delighted by the creativity and ingenuity of my fellow travelers. I started this blog because I didn’t feel like there was a good logical place to showcase, critically review and discuss the fashions inside Second Life. Beyond that, I wanted a place that would help people (including me, with my Swiss cheese like memory) filter through the sheer volume of classified posts that deal with hair, shoes, skins and clothes. OK, so maybe you’re not as obsessive/compulsive as I am, but I check the classifieds on the forums almost every day making a mental list of the designers and outfits that I just *have* to look at once I get home from work.
I’m sure it’s no surprise I’m primarily focused on female fashions here, but once things are a little more established, perhaps I can recruit a coauthor or two with the idea that together we could cover the vast diversity of Second Life fashion.
I plan to highlight posts in the clothes and hair/skin classified ads from the Second Life forums daily to semi-daily. Additionally, I’m starting a weekly feature I call "freebie filter" which aims to sort the huge amount of items in a motley collection of Second Life clothes known as a freebie cube. I’ll sort through the crud and try to find some hidden gems — what girl can pass up a bargain AND reclaim some inventory sanity at the same time? Not this one.
Finally, I really enjoy making new acquaintances in Second Life. Feel free to IM me in world if something I write piques your curiosity or spurs a comment. Thanks again for reading. Please stay tuned.
