Lynnix Muse’s Prim Eyelashes

Lynnix Muse has designed two sets of prim eyelashes (set one set two) in the past couple of days. I was fairly skeptical of the idea to begin. First, I already use 50,000 prims with my hair, shoes and assorted piercings. Second, would anyone really even notice a difference? They’re so finely detailed I was unconvinced anyone would even be able to tell. I bought two pairs today (L$100/each, or L$600/collection) as an experiment from Lynnix’s store and wore them around on the grid tonight.
Sometimes I prompted people by asking what they thought and sometimes I didn’t. The results were sort of surprising. First, no one I didn’t ask mentioned to me that they noticed — I realize that doesn’t mean they didn’t. Second, people I did mention it to thought it was kind of cool. And truthfully, I started to enjoy the way they looked too.
I have two criticisms and one is not something Lynnix can easily fix. There are no eyelash attach points, so Lynnix cleverly used the nose attach point and an invisi-prim to "hang" the eyelashes in the proper place. Lovely idea — but our avatar’s eyes blink, and the lashes stay stationary. That is kind of disconcerting — although it takes a moment to notice that it happens. I didn’t really like that. The second criticism is that prim hair with light colored semi-transparent bangs (like say a blonde color) essentially disembodies the lashes — it looks like your bangs have eyelashes! Maybe there’s a way to fix that problem.
In any case, I recommend the lashes if you want to have an especially glamorous look for an event, but I probably won’t wear the lashes around on the grid day to day.
