Jenna Fairplay posted five new hairstyles in the forums today including this simple appealing French braid with a color changing tie. Also released were “Diva,” a big bang heavy pony style, “Modern,” which reminds me of the Breck shampoo girl for some reason, “Bridal,” an elegant pinned up do, and “Lush” which looks like lots of pinned back ringlets. Teleport to Delphi.
There are low riders, and then there’s this little number from new clubwear designer Marina McCann, called Risque. My mom would call it “obscene,” but it’s smokin’ hot and has lots of great fiddly details — not that anyone will notice the repeated rivets, the circle gathers on the peek-a-boo thong, or the nicely executed strappy ties on the back. There are two other new outfits including a pink and black set that I’m really quite taken with. Mom if you’re reading, I promise I will only wear this get up in my house. Teleport to Star Kissed Studios.
Tired of your outfit prims breaking because of your AO? Nephalaine Protagonist has developed an empire prim friendly AO set! I’d love to see more of these kinds of animations which try to keep the poses from breaking your prims in stands or sits — sits are definitely the challenge. It’s available at PixelDolls in Chartreuse.
Lost Thereian posted a note that Naughty Designs has released several new clothing items, including three hot new tops, new denim and some new sophisticated sheer lingerie sets at their new store in Zuni.
Alaska Metropolitan posted these two funky prim necklaces, one a double wrapped strand of beads, and the other is a choker with stylized rose detail. They come in four different colors (amethyst, amber, garnet and turquoise) and use different attach points so you can wear them together as shown if you like. Teleport to OPIUM Everyday in Alpha Centauri.

Updated: Added a picture of elka’s new top! It is — yep, you guessed it — 50% off.
In honor of her first rezday, elka Lehane is having a half off everything sale, even new items, at her very cool very eclectic store on the Deimos boardwalk. Be sure to check out her brand new pair of brown/brown sandals, a model I am calling “poutine” because they taste so good. Teleport to the Deimos boardwalk, which is rapidly becoming one of my very favorite places to shop in all of Second Life. (While you’re there you can also check out some new hoodies and other tees by Toast Bard at Fashionably Dead.)
P.S. Sinn, darling, that retro 80s broken heart sweater dress you adore? 50% off. Get it while it lasts. ;D

Sherona DeGroot debuted her spring line of gowns and hair (and a few more accessories.) The new spring line has several different gown designs in a panopoly of colors, but I have fallen for the Aria design, shown here in a very subtle spring green hue. It’s difficult to see from the picture, but the lace and bead detailing on the bodice are just immaculately executed. Sherona’s other gowns are no less impressive in attention to detail, the alpha blending of her prim gown pieces, or the design and cut of the dress itself. These are stunning creations.
I also wanted to highlight Sherona’s new line of hairstyles, available exclusively at her store in Simone. Mesmer is an elegant, braided updo, held in place by a set of color changing circlets. I find them evoking thoughts of royal weddings and opening night at the Met (not that we have an opera house in Second Life, alas.)
Teleport to Simone to see these designs for yourself. You will be impressed.
Nyte Calligari has created 9 new outfits including this really cute khaki prim skirt button up combo, complete with painted on brown leather belt. The other outfits are a bit more casual, including a set with a bra peeking over a deep V cut tank and jeans with frayed off waistbands, and a lace and tank top set which comes in a bunch of colors including white, pink, purple, black, light blue and hot pink. Teleport to Couture Isle.
DoC Eldritch offers a set of signature cargoes for men and women. The pants come in four colors (grey, charcoal, brown and tan, pictured left) and have lots of great military detailing including a big pocket on the leg and lots of rivets. You can get them at DE Plaza in Gealain.
Look at this absolutely gorgeous Art Nouveau hairpin created by Miriel Enfield. This pin comes in four different metals and four different stone combinations (pictured left to right are: silver with rose quartz, bronze with snowflake obsidian, antique silver with lapis lazuli, gold with malachite.) She has also created a set of scriptable pins which offer over 40 different combinations. All of the different models are mod and copy OK, so you can adjust the size and position for nearly any hairstyle. L$125-L$275. Teleport.
Right off a red carpet and into Second Life, comes this new gown by Ginny Talamasca. The mermaid skirt and the deep scoop neckline add a lot of vavoom to this head turning design. It’s pictured in gold, but it comes in 7 other colors too, including a brilliant blue and sizzling red. Get it at Dazzle in Innamoramento. But leave one for me — I haven’t had time to log in and get one.

I had so much trouble choosing which outfit to show, I just decided to do a three for one. Canimal Zephyr posted several new things, including everything pictured to the left. First up is an outfit she called “Shy” which has is a tank/sweater combo. The sweater features some very cool flower needlework, while the pants have a funky pinstripe pattern. Shy comes in a two pack of colors: red and brown pants, and blue and green pants, along with coordinating tops.
Next is “Urban.” I really like the design of this top. Corset inspired with a tie in the back, I want to put this top with the pants from Shy. But the pants in the Urban outfit are a faded grey wash with lots of broken in scuff marks.
Finally, we have the unnamed olive colored top with a very colorful face print with contrasting sequin detail along the neckline. This top comes in the color pattern pictured left and four others as well, including grey, sage green, light blue, and red. Teleport over to Canimal’s on Threemile.
