In any world I’m always a flibbertygibbet about WHAT TO WEAR – especially on special times like dates. Want to watch me melt down? Watch me try to decide which piece of gorgeousness to wear tonight. But as I was running the gauntlet through the Relay for Life Clothing Fair Sims last night, I decided that tonight is easy – there is so much gorgeous work being displayed in the RFL kiosks – any of them is a win.
For tonight I chose my friend and one of my favies – Clio! We’re not drinking buddy pals but I likes her a lot. And this year she has FOUR count’em FOUR gorgeous contributions in her RFL kiosks to chose from. Each is really diverse but I chose this one because I just adore this icy blue color. (There is one that looks like a really modern, sleek wedding dress that I am itching to get back to pick up. It’s white, thus in my American mind, it’s a wedding dress. I heart it.) You know that time when you start to really wish that winter would end, when the first “warmer” days start to tease you? What’s worse, is when designers start to release the spring/summer fashions that make you yearn for those sunny, carefree days on the beach. Luckily, blessed with SL, we can have sun 24/7 if our little hearts desire it! Di Hoorenbeek released this adorable beach patio, FOAM & SEA, which has 31 prims and is priced at 250 L$. It’s only available on SLX. A new beach patio, means rummaging through inventory looking for summer wear, means running out to BOOM to get latest shorts! (Follow the logic?) If you’re a fan of Second Style’s monthly ‘Style Icon’ column, you’ll dig what we’ve got coming your way in our upcoming issue.
Beginning in April, I’m going to spend five minutes introducing you to an everyday Style Icon– someone I randomly bump into while traipsing about the grid who has an especially inspiring, inventive, or just plain interesting style worth taking a little peek at. I wanted to share a teaser of our first Five Minute Girl, Miss Missy Mumblewood. What a mouthful, right?
Happy wanderings and who knows– perhaps I’ll see you around?
Tootles.

I’ve been on a bit of a dress kick lately, so I apologize for drowning you in cute frocks. But what can I say? Sometimes inspiration just hits, and lately it has been dragging me toward the cute, fun, and flirty world of dresses. I decided to dress this one down a bit and construct my own scene, because decorating is just as much fun for me as putting together an outfit.

makes for a really dull world! *COCO* did a beautiful job of creating a “tuxedo” look that added that sexy touch a female needs. I partnered it here with pink pants from PARADISIS. These pants have a very sexy touch to to them, with laces on each hip and in the back as well. You have the option of buying them with a copy ability or transfer ability. It’s great for gift giving! Practically the whole store is set up that way! The boots here are those also from *COCO* and they tie the look together nicely. Read the rest of this entry »

“I’d like to Thank the Academy……..”
The Ziezo gown from Sascha’s Designs put me right into the Oscar Mood as soon as I unpacked it. Elegant and with many skirt options (if you know Sascha’s, she gives you OOODLES OF OPTIONS) this long sleek look just totally spoke to me as a gown for the Academy Awards.
One feature I am loving on this gown is a choice of bodice.

Are you a jewel tone girl, or prefer a more subtle look?
The choco color is also perfect and elegant, really unexpected this time of year and I think that is what makes it such a win. This color never goes out of season, pity we only wear it in the fall.

And as mentioned – with the variations of skirt options you can be sleek or very traditional in a battleship skirt ballgown.

I love the look of the big skirt! MY GOD – IT’S FULL OF STARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just like the Oscars………
Where to get it?
- Shape – Gidge Custom Shape
- Hair – Exile – Carlotta – Ash
- Skin – Amacci Skin – Felicia – Fresh
- Sascha’s Designs – Ziezo
- Shoes – Maitreya Group Gift

A black and white day fitted into a pair of jeans. The kind of day you want to curl up and watch terribly bad soap operas. Although, dragging yourself out to go for a walk in the park would probably do you some good. You try and live up to the mantra of the tattoo, “love life.” So, you zip up the skull hoodie and slip your feet into darling flats. The crisp air hits your face as you open the door, you take it all in…black and white….bad or good…you choose to love your life. Read the rest of this entry »
